Interesting... It seems that my blog following is increasing. Apparently Alison's sister Jane has become a bit of a fan!!* Hello all I have completely failed to swap on to daylight hours. I went to bed at 5pm hoping to sleep until 9. I actually woke up at 3:20am - it proves I must have been pretty tired though so I'm not sure if I'm bothered. I am going to try to stay awake today because of my early start tomorrow. I think this will be my last-but-one entry before the festival. there will be computers there but I'm not going to even give them a thought. The good news is, of course, there should be quite a lot of blogworthy material by then (unlike today). Usually on a slow day I would go off into a flow of conciousness style travesty but today I think I will leave things short. I saw my mortgage advisor and yet again he did exactly what I would have done and sorted out a good deal on the insurance. No complaints there. If all goes well I could be in the ne...

I have no balance!! I'm just leaning on people even more!!! I had some really good news today. I checked my bank balance online and found that the mortgage set-up fee had been taken out. This means that the mortgage is going through as planned and that they accepted my credit card as ID. I'm not going to tell them that it was applied for and successfully accepted online. I suppose the fact that I have a credit card is proof that I am credit worthy and my credit records will match-up with the details on the application form. I phoned Wayne as soon as I got in and organised a meeting for this morning (oh how sweet it'll be to lose the day/night confusion) so we're going to go through what happens nexty and look at insurance figures. I think I will just nod politely and ignore anything he has to say on the matter - he's a mortgage advisor, I think I can deal with the insurance side of things... Great news - I got a mail from Charlie at her new workplace t...
It's raining. Swansea is great at rain. It's football team is doomed and it's rugby future is looking shaky, the job situation is dire and the housing situation is nightmarish but if there is one thing that Swansea can claim to be professional at it's rain. Generally there are only two kinds of rain in Swansea, there is the fine misty rain that soaks you to the bone or there is the heavy, almost vertical rain which, err, soaks you to the bone. I'm not complaining though, it's one of the things I like most about the place (usually). I was a desultory and volatile teenager which led, almost inevitably, to a moody adulthood. I am generally quite happy but sometimes I like to look out to sea and think about my position in the world and it helps to do that if you are cold and wet. So, yes, it's raining but I don't mind - it's like tactile mood-music. It's a slow night at work made even slower by lack of communication with the outside world. It...
No entry yesterday? Actually there was one - a very long, involved and heartfelt one but it got lost when I tried to publish it. It's like somekind of blogger conspiracy!! For anyone thinking of starting their own blog I would recommend either using someone else or writing everything in a word-processor before uploading it - Like I'm doing now. To re-cap on yesterday... It was Charlie's last night and I managed to get some mail to her early in the night but then she was dropped out of the work address book and could send but couldn't receive. The result? I didn't get to say goodbye. She has dropped by to read this a couple of times now so I'm going to take this opportunity to say: Thank you for being a true friend. We've carried each other through some really difficult times and that means a lot to me. I am really proud of everything you have acheived in the short time we've known each other and I want to wish you every success. Please don...
