Ohmygod, Ohmygod, Ohmygod...

I saw the solicitor this morning and everything is done. If all goes to plan (and it will knowing Pauline and Steve) I should be able to move in on Monday afternoon.

I really don't have much time at the moment because my parents are on the way to pick me up but I will do an updatey as soon as I get in. I just thought that this was too important to wait.

Updatey
What a day. It's been a belter weatherwise and it was almost a pleasure* to be with my parents for the day.

Much to my surprise my parents had decided to go to Tenby for the day - Had I known I'd have taken my camera but I'll just have to take a tip from Alison and paint a picture with words.

Tenby is a surprising place. I have known about its existence for a while and the only thing I knew for certain was that it was a bit of a tourist mecca. It is a picturesque blend of georgian houses, art-deco stylings and beaches. The beaches are golden and strech off into the distance and where the sun hits the sea it turns it a fine shde of turquoise. I don't tend to associate turquoise seas with West Wales but they are there if you look hard enough. I was surprised at how "tall" the place is. The town is built on the edge of a cliff with the sea far below. My mum has a few medical problems which prevent her from walking great distances so we didn't actually go down to the beaches, deciding that a stroll around the town would be good enough.

The town itself is everything you would imagine a beach resort to be. The house fronts are painted in pastel blues, greens and pinks and where there are no georgian houses there are stone walls instead. I'm not familiar with the historical aspect of Tenby's existence but it looks as though it was designed to be impregnable. My Dad reckons that the seafort on one of the coastal islands was reminiscent of the ones built by Henry VIII and I trust his judgment. I'm not a great one for sight seeing but I can see myself heading back there with a camera in the none-too-distant future. If you are ever in West Wales pay a visit to Tenby but don't expect the thrills and excitement of Ibiza!!

Last night I had a communication extravaganza. I was on the phone to The Colonel for a couple of hours discussing mind-bending stuff like "How to have lucid dreams", "So what's this "Hamlet" about then and "misconceptions about the weather". Sounds odd? Well it was but it was "good odd" and it's always good to talk to people with a similar sense of humour. Just before that Che and Joe appeared online briefly. They may not have been there for long but it was long enough to put a smile on my face and that's what counts. Che should be back tomorrow so I will be doing my best to catch up. I spoke to Joe just a moment ago and they had a great time hanging out in Seattle eating some of the finest food money can buy!!

I've been having a few mood swings today because I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the house. I love the house but there is going to be a lot of work coming my way VERY soon. I also have to think seriously about my financial situation and decide what the best course of action is. I haven't made any major decisions yet but I need to concentrate on them for a while. I'll get into some serious packig tomorrow and try to make a list of everything that needs doing (it'll more than likely appear here so keep an eye out).

*Actually, I'd go so far as to say it was a pleasure but for one thing: My Mum, on noticing a dangerously obese guy walking along with his wife, nudged me and said "There's a big man and he's got a girlfriend". Now, I know she was trying to say "It's ok, there's hope for you after all" (which is still a bit off) but I pointed out to her that I couldn't help taking it as "Not only are you a fat bloke, you're a fat bloke and you're single".
