Glurrrmmm
In other words I am feeling a leettle bit tired. I have been awake since 5pm yesterday and I'm starting to feel it (despite the fact I've only been awake 13 hours).
I forgot to mention something quite amusing that happened on the train yesterday but I like the blandness of the last entry so I'm putting it in here:
Swansea is on fire!! It seems that right across Wales kids have been setting brush fires which have spread like errr... wildfire. This is disturbing in itself but I have also just started reading "von Beck" by Michael Moorcock which, for those who haven't read it, is about one man's decent into Hell. So there was me, on the train, head down in a weighty tome about fiery wastelands only to look up and see the entire landscape on fire. It was a bit of a trouser filler but amusing all the same.
It's been a bit of a wrench trying to change from days to nights again. The take away I had ordered was delivered shortly after last nights post and was really nice (props go to The Lotus on Oystermouth Road) the only problem was that (and I can asure you it was not their fault) I couldn't keep it down. One minute I was feeling all satisfied and happy, the next my head was making a dash for the bathroom - weird. I think I may have had a bit of a bug but it's more likely that my stomach had just had enough of a battering over the last few days. Either way I am feeling a lot better now.
Having woken up at 3am for my special extra day I decided my time would be best put to use if I watched a couple of movies. For anyone who has clicked on the My DVDs link on the side you will already know that this is a bit of a passion of mine. The films in question were "Cat's Eyes" and "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" - not much brain needed for either but I didn't have much to give so it all worked out just fine. I had to restrain myself from putting on the commentaries and nerding myself to death but I did check out the "Depth" commentary on the Star Wars website. If I had to wear glasses I would be fixing the plaster that keeps them together as we speak!!
Oh yeah, reading through the last entry I noticed I didn't give much space to Alison's presents. I will rectify that right now. What Alison got me was very special, she got me a set of pans for my future house. Ok, they were pans but they also meant quite a lot to me. What they represented was not just a way of heating things up without getting dirty feet but an acknowledgement of my determination to move on in life. I made a decision some time ago that I should own my own house by the time I hit 30 (which has now been revised to by the time I'm 31) and the pans are kind of an incentive to achieve my goal. That's the way I'm looking at it anyway and I'm sure that was the spirit in which the gift was given.
Time to go home I think...
