Praise the Lord for the gift of unbroken internet access (well praise ntl: anyway).
I'm home and safe and now I can go back to moderate drinking and full on anxiety attacks again! My stay in Cheeseshire was excellent and, as usual, I was sorry to leave everyone behind. I had a pretty smooth run when it came to the last night/day in Northwich.
My parents left as expected and it ws up to me to try to sort out a lift to the station the following morning (this morning). I sent off a text to Rob asking if I could stay at his house which is opposite the station I needed - he replied I could and a weight was lifted. Next I sent a message to Al asking how we were going to get to the pub and he replied that a lift was sorted and he'd pick me up at 7. It was, by this point, 6:15 so after a furious shower and a last race around the house to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything I just about made the deadline. I think I may have left the house in a bit of a mess but I will suffer the consequences of that at a later date...
We actually had a reason to hit the boozer last night, apart from celebrating my departure, which was in the form of a pub quiz which my Cheshire mates go to every week. There was a bit of pressure on me because I was supposed to be the music expert for the team. To cut a long story short we won one of the rounds (a music round *grin*) and I walked off with a bottle of wine for my efforts - I will admit that the others did help quite a lot but with a bit of umming and arring I came up with the more obscure answers. During this time Rob (who is currently and valiantly trying to quit smoking) threw a bit of a moody (understandably) and buggered off home. This was potentially a problem because I was staying at his house!! Luckily I had a free bottle of wine and so everything turned out nicely in the end.
I woke up early this morning because I didn't have a watch with me and my paranoia that I might miss my train guided me downstairs. It was only when I got downstairs that I found it was 8:30am and not noonish as I had originally thought. Unfortunately I had inadvertently woken up Rob and Joyce who came down shortly afterwarsds (oops - sorry). We hung around for a while and had a hearty breakfast (cooked expertly by Rob) and passed the time merrily until my train was due. I caught it and within the hour I was out of Cheshire and heading back to Wales.
[Insert amusing train anecdote here] - it was all too smooth so you'll have to make up your own.
Finally, here I am. Alison greeted me with a belated birthday present and a card and I am waiting for a take away delivery and then I'm off to bed for a few hours... I may be back later...
