Why-I-Oughta!!
Here I am in work and pondering the idea that I still have three breaks to go even though I will be going home 2 hours early after the other night. It's a possibility but as there are only three of us in sacrifices may have to be made.
I'm feeling a lot better but I'm still not 100%. I didn't manage to the sleep I had hoped for today so I have been awake for 16 and a bit hours and I will probably see 24 hours before I can let myself sleep again. I don't think they'd make a TV show about it though. Somehow I just can't see it:
24UK, the story of a slightly ill internet tech support phone monkey and his overwhelming bid to get some sleep.
Hour 1
Agent Dibbie watches some TV and has a wash before turning on his computer
Hour 2
Our hero continues to watch TV because all those home improvement programs are on and what with the new house and everything...
Hour 3
TV begins to dominate as Bargain Hunt segues naturally into Call My Bluff
Hour 4
President Bush makes a tough decision which has nothing to do with Dibbie who is playing Vice City
Hour 5
Tension grows as Dibbie is forced to answer the door to the milkman...
etc...
Something tells me that the audience just wouldn't be there for it.
I have had further wallet-loss issues today so I have been watching my accounts with great interest. What if some scrote is currently spending all my hard earned cash in takeaways and place that use the old clunk-click card machines instead of the new hi-tech swipe ones? Call me paranoid but you can't help it. That wallet was given to me on my 21st birthday by Al's parents so I'm a bit gutted. We've been through a lot that wallet and me, hell we've just survived a festival together so losing it is probably more gutting than losing my cards and what-not.
Speaking of scrotes I have had to drop Minto. He was a nice enough guy but his childish hacker antics were just too much at times and he was unable to see that if he attacks my friends he is, in fact, attacking me. I hope he grows up a bit - I quite liked the little fella when he was being sensible.
I found out today that I made it onto the top 10 hottest guys on the Weebl and Bob forums which was a nice little surprise. Ok, I was 10th but out of a couple of thousand fellas it was enough to give me a bit of a boost. I'm also grateful to all the guys who have had me and my recent illness in their thoughts - it's nice to know there are people out there that care even when it was probably self-inflicted.
While I am in a modd for platitudes I want to say a quick "hi" to The Colonel - it seems he has joined the core of people who read this effort on a regular basis and also to John who has been there from the start. It sometimes feels like I'm doing this for other people but that's fine it gives me the impetus to get it done in the first place.
Quote of the Day: "Tell [Dibbie] I'm thinking about his colon" Merkin to The Colonel
Today's Word: SUPPLICATION
Today's Mood: Boosted (but not stolen)
