Blimey!!
Ok I have a lot to say but very little time to say it. I'll do a proper Night Team Booze-up entry as soon as I possibly can but there is other stuff to get through here. I think it's sufficient to say that the night out was a success and I got lots of photos.
I got back from the booze-up and fell into bed. I had only had about 3 hours sleep before going out so I thought that I'd better catch up so I'd be refreshed for the start of the day-shift. I went to sleep at 2am, woke up briefly and thought "ok, I've proably slept in but I'll just get a few more minutes", went back to sleep and woke up fully at 4:30am - I had had 2 and a half hours sleep. I tried to go to sleep at various points during the day but I just couldn't get off - the result was that I spent the entire 8 hours of training yawning and being dull and lifeless. I suppose that's what most people look like while they are being trained though.
Cut to this morning - I went downstairs to see if there was any post and there, amongst the junk and crap, was a letter from my solicitor aying that they are ready to swap contracts!! Holy crap, I'm a home owner!! The only thing that could stop me now is if the house fell into the ground (not really a possibility because the mining searches must have been fine) or the vendors and their entire families being wiped out by a mystery virus. It does mean that I need to try and gather together as much money as possible in a very short time - we're talking days here!! In truth I'm excited and apprehensive because I now realise how much work this is going to be.
One thing that came out of the night-team evening was that I have got myself a lodger but he can't move in until September. As far as I am concerned that is perfect because it'll give me a couple of months of getting used to the house by myself. My only concern is that he's a he - I really wanted a female lodger because it's genearlly a better mix but Andrew's a great fella and he has always been near the top of my lodger list so I'm still happy.
Well, I'm rested now after a pretty good night's sleep so we'll see what today brings.
Today's Word: ASTONISHMENT
Today's Mood: Undecided
