Must... Sleep...

Last night was great. I managed to chill me boots and knock back a few brewskis in the company of Alex and a couple of movies. I am beginning to feel at home now and it's a sweet feeling. I'm not talking about the materialistic "I've got a house" feeling but the feeling of finally cutting a niche in the world and slotting myself into it. I have had thoughts about the house and it's future, ways I could improve the lay-out and decore and what I'll do when I need to replace the boiler (happily that should be a LONG way off yet).

Like I've said before I'll try to leave this as movie-review free as possible but if you get the chance to see "Catch Me If You Can" then you should jump at it. I'm a bit of a Spielberg fan anyway but this is definately one of his best and is, in turns, funny, disturbing and sad. Like Alex said last night - I would love to know just how true all the exploits are.

I had yet another Chinese take-away last night and it was lovely as usual but I'm getting a bit sick of them. I remember when I was managing The Strand I had very little time to cook so I would go across the road to the Chinese take-away almost every night. One of the employees came up to me one night and said "You can't eat Chinese food every night!" I looked at him at him quizzically and explained that Chinese people do...

The fridge should be coming tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it. I reminded myself just how my life has changed since being a dodgy teen by listing the things I'll keep in my fridge as:

Salad
Beer
Milk
and that

Beer came second? A few scant years ago beer would have not only have topped the list but would be the list itself!!

More exciting stuff is going on because I am trying to organise a flash mob which could be very interesting. For those of you who have no idea what that means and haven't read the weebl blog (shame on you) a flash mob is where a group of people suddenly turn up somewhere, carry out a predetermined action and then disperse. This is becoming quite a popular pass-time. Recently in the Grand Hyatt Hotel near Grand Central Station in New York about 200 people appeared on a balcony, clapped for 15 seconds and then left. Hopefully, via forums and other means I'll be ble to prganise a multi-city, multi-national flash mod with people performing a given action at a specific time around the world!! It's looking good too - this isn't just pie-in-the-sky!!

No news from The Colonel or Merkin as yet (and frankly I don't blame them) but Che is winging her way back to Blighty and should be touching down soon. I can't wait to speak to them all but for now I will have to wrap myself up in Terminator 3 and popcorn and just wait for them to be available.
