Tricky...
I wrote a blog a few days ago and lost it. It wasn't very long but it explained where I was and what I was doing.
Truth be told I'm not in the best of spirits and I can't work out why. I think the majority of it is down to money and missing my nocturnal life-style but there is an added twist this time: I keep thinking about the future.
The future has always been, for me, something that happens to other people. I have had people ask me what I am doing a few days hence only for them to be told by me that I never planned that far ahead. Now I'm thinking about where I will be a few years down the line and, to quote old maps, there be dragons. I'm not going to delve too deeply into how I am feeling at the moment because that caused all kinds of problems last time but I know I have to change the way I am living at the moment. I think that covers it for now - Let's just say that the crisis may have had a delay timer on it...
Terminator 3 was ok, not the best film I have ever seen and overall probably the weakest of the lot but it was entertaining. We had really good and comfortable seats and I had a footlong hotdog which was quite nice but VERY expensive.
The real high point of my week has been the purchase of a new camera. The one I had has been sold to Nicky and I have used the money from that to upgrade to a nice camera with a bit more user-control to it. I really want to start getting into photography and the Kodak just wasn't going to do it for me. The camera I have bought is a Fuji Finepix s304 also known as the 3800 in the USA. It has a lot more manual power if you need it but can take some pretty damn good pictures without it. I took this one using the built-in macro function:
And with a bit of manipulation I ended up with:
It's a general purpose camera and it's definately a winner. I'll stop geeking off about it now...
This weather is getting to me a bit, I'm just not used to it. We're pushing 30 degrees C and that just isn't right for Britain let alone Swansea!! There isn't a cloud in the sky and I'm beginning to miss the rain.
Today's Word: DEHYDRATION
Today's Mood: Hot and BOTHERED
Quote of the Day: "I'll do it in portrait mode" Me on how to take a good picture of my butt! (Check the Weebl blog for details)
