Well, it's Thursday but only just. That can mean only one thing...

My last full day in Swansea for a while. It's going to be a bit of a hectic one as far as I can see. Firstly I have to finish work (in about 5 and a half hours) then it's off to town for breakfast and shopping (more later) and finally veg out and try to stay awake until night-time. One thing I really hate is the whole lifestyle switcheroo I have to endure anytime I want to do anything in the real world!!

Thankfully I have kept a fair bit of wonger available to myself this month so I can equip myself properly for the forthcoming expedition to the flatlands of cheese. I need to hit Jessops to buy myself a case and battery for my DV Camcorder and maybe Argos for a cheap-ass digital clicky-click case (might leave it til next month because I'm NOT taking a DV to Download!!). At a push I might buy a rucksack too - I need one for next month and I'm getting sick of carrying around 3 bags whenever I go anywhere.

Whilst I always look forward to my visits oop North I'm usually hit with a couple of doubts. It hasn't got anything to do with the friends and relations resident to that area but it has got a lot to do with their pets. I love animals (careful now) and they seem to have some affection for me but I am chronically allergic to anything that moves so the trip always ends up with me being bunged up, nasal and in need of medical attention. To make matters worse my nasal steroids have run out and I won't have time to visit the doctor!! I've stocked up on hayfever spray which helps but we'll just have to see if it helps enough...

Funny thing about blogging - I didn't think I'd have anything to write about. Admittedly, I still don't have anything to write about but it doesn't stop me pumping out an impressive word count does it?

This morning (Wednesday morning - I work nights remember) I saw a train and began to feel excited and it occurred to me that I'm not a huge fan of travelling but I love arriving. The thing I especially love is the train station experience - people fail to grasp the concept of excitement on the platform. If people stopped complaining and just chilled a little they would suddenly be overcome by the tension that can be found in waiting for a train. Will it come on time? Will it be late? Have I missed the connection? Am I on the right platfrom? Will I get a table to myself? It's gripping stuff and no mistake.

That'll do it for now but I may need to do some sleep deprived rambling later...

Updatey:

I'm back from my spending spree (let's hear it for Western Capitalism) and I've got just about everything I wanted. My DV is now happily housed in a carrycase along with it's new battery, my clothes are currently residing in my new rucksack and my feet are in the process of breaking in some new para-boots. I managed to crack a few bargains which is always satisfying. The rucksack I was after wasn't in stock but it's big brother was and it was on offer so I got it for less than the one I wanted would have cost. As you can tell from that last sentence the sleep deprivation is beginning to kick in already. As an added bonus I got myself some CDs to while away the travelling part of tomorrow's adventures.

That'll do it - I'm off to veg in the biggest possible way.
