Holy shit!!
I think I've got a mortgage!! It hasn't fully gone through yet because I only have a tenuous piece of extant identification but it's there no matter how obscure. The meeting went on for quite a while but it was worth it because I managed to sort out all of the things I wanted to. I now have a solicitor so the conveyancing can begin and all I am waiting for now is a letter from the Inland Revenue to finally prove my existence. They have taken a photocopy of my credit card for now which is apparently good enough (at the manger's descretion). As soon as I got home I called the vendors and told them to expect a confirmation letter within the next couple of days - that should pacify them and assure them that I am definately buying the house.
As part of the meeting Wayne had to call about a "product code" and ended up getting me a better deal than before (completely by accident - but what the hell...)
It's another work night tonight so I've slept for most of the day but it hasn't stopped stuff from happening. Recently I have been spending more and more time at "the other place" (a forum that I won't name here). Whilst it is open to anyone really we are trying to keep it small and therefore the majority of members are there by invitation. I got an urgent PM from one of the administrators (my old clone daddy and good friend Da King formerly IGP) who asked me if I fancied being a moderator. To say I was gob-smacked is an understatement - I still am a few hours later. I accepted of course - I'd be mad not to! My one concern was that Che might not be behind it but I have since found out that she was the one that suggested it.
To be honest I don't think I'll be taking a hugely active role but if something needs sorting I'll do what I can.
I had my work appraisal tonight too which I thought went ok - it should mean another minor pay-rise (coming just before the massive crash!!). There were no great shakes in it but I managed to air some grievences and that always helps. I actually believe that the company want us to stay on and still be a team - whether that'll happen only time will tell. I think the general concensus is bide our time until we find a better job/position.
Today's Word: MOMENTUM
Today's Mood: Redeemed
