Pretentious? Moi?
As Rambaud once said: "Je suis un piéton, rien de plus" ("I am a pedestrian, nothing more"). My team leader says that he has read my blog and finds it pretentious - ah well, no accounting for taste.
Another point before I get on with the dealings of the day - It's been brought to my attention that Alison hasn't been mentioned much. I'm going to rectify it by giving her a big thanks right here. When I came to Swansea Alison was kind enough to offer me lodgings for a few months - three years plus down the line and I am finally getting to a position where I can move out. She has, in that time, put up with a great deal of turmoil on my part including an abortive trip to hospital to cure some extreme toothache (a long story which I won't go into here). Once again Alison - Thank you for putting up with my crap and being a real friend all this time.
On to the events du jour (that should wind G up):
The news I wasn't going to divulge earlier is that I had a job interview this morning. It was a very simple interview and I got the job immediately but I had to turn it down because I coudn't negotiate a good enough wage. It would have been a good job - IT work for a local newspaper - but I'll just have to keep looking. Whilst I was out I circulated my CV to a few agencies. I won't be resting on my laurels though, I need to get a decent job so I'm keeping my eyes peeled.
I have developed a new passion and one which is taking up too much of my time at the moment - GTA:Vice City. It's finally out for the PC and I have turned into a gaming geekoid again.
The bad news from a blog point of view is that I'm back at work for the next few days but the good news is that I have my second mortgage meeting in a few short hours at which I will be finalising the mortgage!! I haven't sorted out a solicitor yet though so I need to get my skates on.
Today's Word: AESTHETICS
Today's Mood: Kicking ass and chewing gum and I'm all outta gum
Updatey
Heh, A spelling mistake was pointed out by my team leader G and I would like to express my thanks for this.
Meh = Pretentious
G = Pedantic
